Hello Fellow Travelers!
Brothers,
Back on Father's Day in 2003, I was several years into playing the role of "father" to my own sons when I realized how much I was living what had been given to me. Inspired by this experience, I wrote a poem about what I had learned being a father and from being fathered. I share it here with you.
Fraternally and Sincerely,
Bro. Coach N
PS - No, there is no "Building Father" book being written, yet.

A Father’s There
(Father’s Day 2003)
If we’re blessed, a father’s there
to welcome us into the world;
If we’re blessed, a father’s there
to introduce us to the world he loves;
If we’re blessed, a father’s there
to help us face our world as we venture forth;
If we’re blessed, a father’s there
to share the wonders we encounter;
If we’re blessed, a father’s there
who loved the world so much that he wanted us to be a part of it;
If we’re blessed, a father’s there
who we can show how much his loving intention was honored;
If we’re blessed, a father’s there
whose eyes, voice and spirit lovingly affirms us;
If we’re blessed, a father’s there
who we can thank for that which we have become;
If we’re blessed, a father’s there
deep in our hearts long after his days were ours;
If we’re blessed, a father’s there
carried as spirit in our every day actions;
If we’re blessed, a father’s there
