Random Building Thoughts - 2021-09-12

-------------- HUMOR --------------

FILED UNDER:
Universal Brotherhood!

FYI!    Col. John Herschel Glenn, Jr.
Mercury VI, Space Shuttle Discovery
b.July 18, 1921 – d.December 8, 2016

Glenn was the first American
to orbit the Earth aboard Friendship 7
on February 20, 1962,
on the Mercury-Atlas 6 mission.

He circled the globe three times
during a flight lasting 4 hours, 55 minutes, and 23 seconds.

Glenn went on to become a U.S. Senator
for Ohio in 1974 serving until 1999.

In 1998, Glenn returned to space on the Space Shuttle
becoming the oldest person to go into space
as a Payload Specialist on Discovery’s STS-95 mission.

Glenn was a member of Concord Lodge # 688 New Concord, Ohio,

Transform a brick from lead into gold
and you reduce the overall value of gold.
Transform a man from lead into gold
and you increase the overall value of mankind.

 -------------- MORALS! --------------

-------------- CAPES --------------

Yes,
We Absolutely DO Wear Capes,
but we're Up Front about it.

-------------- EGO REVISITED --------------

I continue to remain steadfast
in my formally stated views.

Let me premise this with:

EGO isn't what
a lot of people believe it is!

--------
  • Have you ever felt uncomfortable with those
"get rid of your EGO" folks?

  • Have you felt put on
    or put down by them?

  • Did you sense there was
a hidden agenda in their advice?
You're not alone!

Here's an excellent overview as to why
so many new age philosophers and advice givers
come across as individuals who have a strong case of
Over-Controlling Cranial-rectalitis.

It also explains why some New Age philosophy
is actually counter-productive
and dangerous to personal development.

Having a strong foundation in the classics
helps us recognize when
Bogus Specifics are shoveled our way
in the guise of good advice.

The next time you read anything like
"Ego Need Not Enter Here!"
and are tempted to agree,
think back to this article
 and know what such statements
are truly asking you to do!

Be Forewarned!

the Darkest Recesses
of Our Souls.

-------------- PLANT THEM --------------

If you cannot elicit smiles from others,
then offer provoking thoughts
that'll plant seeds of greatness.

-------------- MYTH --------------

"'I will participate in the game.
It is a wonderful, wonderful opera
— except that it hurts.
"Affirmation is difficult.
We always affirm with conditions.
I affirm the world on condition that it gets to be
the way Santa Claus told me it ought to be.
But affirming it the way it is —
that's the hard thing,
and that is what rituals are about."

-------------- HUGE --------------

As any Rebellious Teenager will tell you,
there is a HUGE difference between
CAN'T and MAY NOT.

-------------- FOND MEMORIES --------------

.

I was blessed to have met with a few good Brothers
at Hillsborough Lodge No. 25 last evening,
along with good Brother Derec Mercer
who was visiting from NC.
We dined over some garlic bread, salad
and awesome lasagna sprinkled with sausage
and great conversation.

After dinner,
I was present to the first Lodge performance of
performed by Brothers Mike Huster

 It was an awesome Evening!

Here's the script that they used!
