Random Building Thoughts - 2022-04-13

-------------- BE REASONABLE --------------

You cannot Reasonably Expect
Improvement in Yourself
and the Society in General
when you Purposefully Substitute
the Actual Improvement Work
with Titles for Just Showing Up.

-------------- NO MOPE! --------------

Masonry's Osmotic Principle Exemplified (M.O.P.E.)

Surrounding yourself with good men
believing that, by just being in their presence,
you will absorb some of their goodness into your manner.

-------------- GRAVES --------------

Masonic Secrets are so well Hidden
that many Brothers go to their graves
never realizing that they missed seeing them,
too often right before their eyes.

-------------- CHARACTER --------------

Vices and Superfluities
are but a few of the impurities
that prevent Cement from tempering properly.
Divestment of them is one of many reasons
the Apprentice Work is necessary
before Masons are encouraged to lift their Trowels.

You shall know
when a man has taken upon himself
an Obligation to improve himself
to the best of his ability;
he is a Mason.

You shall also know
when a man has merely stated
that he has taken such an Obligation
upon himself
and has changed nothing in his manner
showing that he is honoring and abiding by it.

What would you call such a man?

-------------- MYTH --------------

-------------- REMAIN CIVIL & DECENT --------------

It shall not be by lack of Knowledge
that Civilization fails.
It shall by the deliberate ignore-ance
of the Civility and Decency that Builds it.

-------------- INNOVATION? --------------

What?! No Innovations?!?!

For Further Light:
NO
