I'm saddened to have to disappoint you.
Magic is not part of masonry,
freemasonry or our craft.
The only time you shall see
some of our members disappear
is when you ask them
to volunteer for something.
Equally,
some members appear out of thin air
and get done what needs to be done.
I guess you can say
that Freemasonry reveals Character.
And that could be considered magical to some.

Try
not to assume
that Lessons do not have Lessons within them
or that any
Lesson does not go deeper
than what is superficially shown.
Masterfully
Crafted lessons are Challenging Matryoshka
with inner layers that can
only be Gleaned
as each overlaid Lesson is Properly Revealed
and
masterfully Removed.
If Masonry teaches us anything about Lessons
it
would include that
an Understanding of the Core
can only be Grasped
once
the skin and flesh
are Dealt with Properly.

The struggle is real...
To
Aspirants of Walking,
The
Degrees offered to men
within the Symbolic Lodge
introduce them to
specific Development Work
that, when done, Transforms them
from Good men
to Better men.
This Betterment starts with
Cultivating a deeper
Understanding of The Self,
continues with Cultivating a deeper
Understanding
of The Universe
and ultimately turns toward Cultivating
a
deeper Understanding of The Word
as exemplified through their chosen
Faith.
Should a man join
and choose not to do the Cultivation Work
that
these Three Symbolic Degrees Direct him toward,
he shall receive only
an unfulfilling
and dissatisfying Substitute
that he might try to make
sense of
by futilely Seeking Further Light in other Degrees.
Unfortunately,
he shall remain unfulfilled
until he actually Does The
Work.
