It's been my experience
that once someone admits to specific vices and superfluities
and then uses those very admissions
to provide for leveraging excuses
with the sole purpose of escaping accountability,
they are beyond any outside help,
other than Divine intervention
or ultimatums put upon them
by authorities that can enforce accountability.
Either way,
the corrective Work is an inside-out job,
regardless of the influence that brings it about.

Here's
a Historical Question out to my Brothers:
According to my source,
the
widely disseminated slogan
"Masonry/Freemasonry Makes Good Men Better"
was first circulated in the 1980s.
For those Brothers who were in the
Fraternity before then,
when would you say the first recorded incident
of the slogan used/put forth/written?

than the man who knows better
and does nothing.
