Cowans are NOT imposters of even bad Brothers.
In fact, they are extremely helpful and actually keep
many Lodge doors open through their limited support.
They simple do not want to Square their Work
and have no Desire whatsoever to make their own Cement.
They do not demand anything more
than what they have rightfully earned
and they support the Lodge
with what they are willing to give,
and do so honestly.
Ruffians on the other hand want more
than they rightfully deserve
and 20% of them are willing to be violent to get it.
The non-hostile 80% have a tendency of amending their ways
when confronted
and they bring the other 20%
to swift Justice when pressured with dire Consequences.
It's important to know each of them
for who they are
and you can absolutely depend upon
their very looks betraying them
for who they truly are.
BUT you MUST know how to look and see.
