It's been about four years now since I first published this book. It's about masculine initiatic experiences, archetypes and growth, all in a Grimm's Folk Tale style. It won't appear to be something that has anything to do with Masonry at first, unless you look for clues and allusions spread throughout its entirety. It's at the end of the book where you'll be challenged to go back through the tale to respond to insights and questions about what the story actually reveals about being Travelers. Yet, I do withdraw from any friend who shoves his politics, religion and philosophy my way especially when our interaction clearly and undeniably does not call for such provisions.

Furthermore, when someone uses what I say as an excuse to attack me personally, his action reveals that he was no friend to begin with and he reclassify himself as "a foe" and volunteers to be blocked without further discussion.

You have become disenchanted with all the usual routine Freemasonic activities and decide to buckle down and do the Apprentice Work pointed toward by Ritual. You focus first upon values and more specifically what you value most. As you do your Work, it becomes clear to you, as you examine your experience of life, that it is much richer as a result of specific individuals affecting it directly and indirectly. You are overwhelmed with gratitude as you think about their impact upon you.

Your Task:

1) Create a list of names of everyone who comes to mind who has enriched your life experience or enriches your life experience on a daily basis.
2) Next to each name on your list, write down how your life would be less rich if that person were not affecting it.
3) Write out how you would go about expressing your gratitude to each for their contribution to your life and then make it so!

In Masonry, once Work has commenced upon a Rough Ashlar, it is thereafter referred to as a Common Ashlar.

In Freemasonry, you will not hear this word, unless it's spoken by the mouth of a Mason.

-------------- IMPROVEMENT --------------

-------------- COACH'S CHALLENGE --------------

A WM of your lodge happened upon a gathering of your Brothers who were trying to address some very straightforward and important questions being directed to them by a visiting party interested in joining. After listening intently to the conversation for about 20 minutes, he was very concerned with what he heard. The Brothers answering the questions were not doing well at all in responding to this future candidate's questions. When the interested party left, your WM stepped over to the table and said to your Brothers that he wanted to know every question the person asked and wanted the list by end of day. Your Brothers thought it was a great idea and agreed to provide them as requested.

Your task:

1) Put yourself at that table with your Brothers and work with them to come up with every question you believe the individual asked about the fraternity, its rituals and obligations during that gathering.
2) Write them all down on paper.
3) Ask your Brothers how they would respond to them had they been given an opportunity to research them, think them through and provide their best thoughts on the answers.
