Promotion of Freemasonry in any way is antagonistic to its ends. When the Light that leaks from behind its door doesn't naturally Attract the man outside it, then that door is not for him. Inviting such a man across its threshold is a precursor to much woe.
Promotion: activity that supports or provides active encouragement for the furtherance of a cause, venture, or aim.
Attraction: the action or power of evoking interest, pleasure, or liking for someone or something.
a) a quality or feature of something or someone that evokes interest, liking, or desire.
b) a thing or place that draws visitors by providing something of interest or pleasure.
