Random Building Thoughts - 2021-04-02

-------------- THE POINT! --------------

The point of Ritual Concepts is to introduce men to thinking differently about how they think normally.

The point of Ritual's archaic language is to jar those who can be jarred into thinking about looking into the meaning of words as they change with time.

The point of Ritual remaining relatively unchanged is to let men know indirectly that the meaning behind the words of their faith are no less transitory in meaning and that the simple nudge provided to each of them by the presentation of archaic words within Ritual might just get each man to realize that the words of their faith are no less archaic and needing of further thought.

When it comes to ritual, any superficial, "I'll apply no in depth thought toward what is put before me" response is the greatest insult you can say about yourself.

The points are made and those who shall think deeply shall benefit deeply.

Those who don't, wear the title of "member" and not "Mason".

For Further Light:

-------------- EXEMPLIFY! --------------

To attract others toward Betterment,
exemplify that Betterment.
Potentials require Authenticity;
Non-potentials merely get annoyed.

-------------- ROOTS --------------

 For Further Light:

-------------- CHARACTER --------------

Your Fortitude naturally improves
when you Divest yourself of Burdens
that contribute nothing to your well-being.

-------------- MYTH --------------

"I have a firm belief in this now, not only in terms of my own experience, but in knowing the experiences of other people. When you follow your bliss, and by bliss I mean the deep sense of being in it, and doing what the push is out of your own existence—it may not be fun, but it’s your bliss and there’s bliss behind pain too.

"You follow that and doors will open where there were no doors before, where you would not have thought there’d be doors, and where there wouldn’t be a door for anybody else.

"... And so I think the best thing I can say is to follow your bliss. If your bliss is just your fun and your excitement, you’re on the wrong track. I mean, you need instruction. Know where your bliss is. And that involves coming down to a deep place in yourself."
-- Joseph Campbell, The Hero’s Journey (p. 217)

-------------- THE APPEAL --------------

Appealing to Deity is a grand gesture.
Doing what Deity requires of you
through that appeal though is
the only way Deity can and will help you.

-------------- THE CHALLENGE --------------

The challenge is not in hearing God's Voice.
God's Voice is present every where and every when
-- It cannot not be heard.

The challenge lay in not filtering out the important tidbits
that you may find unacceptable,
especially when it requires of you actions
 that necessitate Investment and Divestment.

-------------- DOGMA... --------------

-------------- TESTIMONIAL! --------------

Thank You Brother Sam!

"This book, The Craft Unmasked, is one you will find yourself not wanting to put down. You will find yourself wanting to read it all in one day but it’s better taken in steps and read with an open mind. Brother Nagy didn’t write just another book on Freemasonry. Instead he stepped it up to a whole new light. A definite eye and mind opener! This book will make you take a hard look at what has been taught over the years of the origin of the Gentle Craft we think we know. I can and will highly recommend this book to all my Brothers, not just to own your copy but to read and digest what will be revealed to you."
-- Bro. Sam Scardina

-------------- EVERYWHERE! --------------

Flying back to Tampa one afternoon was interesting. I boarded the plane and got into a middle seat near the front of the plane that was flanked by a gal on the right and guy on the left.

Decompressing from my ten days out on the road, I found myself playing a free app "tilt-it" on my smart-phone to get into to some mindless hand-eye time.

The gal to my right kept busy reading through all the magazines she had at her disposal and the guy to my left got some "Zs" going before we took off.

Refreshed, he woke up about 15 minutes before we landed and started watching me play the tilt-it game. We eventually got talking and he asked me what I'd been doing for the last 10 days to required two solid hours of mindless tilt-it time.

I said, "Well, I've been providing some uncommon educational support that makes good men better".

He looked at me with a question in his eyes and then asked for more information about me.

We continued on for about 10 minutes, each exchanging details about our backgrounds, families, jobs and destinations.

We were about to depart the plane when he reached out to offer his hand in farewell. As I offered mine back, he grasped my hand and twisted it just enough to see my ring. He smiled and said, "I see that you have Traveled some."

We both busted out laughing and exchanged some Further Light on that subject.

It's amazing who you will meet on the road
