-------------- HUMOR --------------
-------------- CHARACTER --------------
Lodge is not a place;
it's a mindset
backed by sincere and heart-felt actions
that keep us connected with our Brothers.
-------------- NO TIME AT ALL! --------------
Anyone
who takes any time
to actually think about Ritual
soon understands it
to be a road map
pointing toward greater things.
Like any road map,
if
you are unmotivated to use it for its true intention,
with it you'll get
nowhere in no time at all.
-------------- MENUS --------------
Investing
all your time and energies
in Worshiping Road Maps
rather than enjoying
the Terrains
that these Road Maps represent,
is akin to relying solely
upon reading menus
to provide to you your nutritional needs.
You shall
starve to death a confused soul either way.
-------------- CHARACTER --------------
When
members cannot be civil
toward those who were at one time members,
then
those uncivil members have
failed to achieve
the very objective for
which they joined.
-------------- MYTH --------------
-------------- RITUALISM --------------
"There
is not a subject so little understood
by even its own members as that
of Freemasonry.
It is not in the strict sense an order.
Its purpose is
more clearly defined
when it is called a fraternity, a brotherhood, or
an institution.
It is certainly not a club.
Ritualism is not Masonry.
The ritual is the vehicle
which conveys the sublime truths to the heart
and mind.
If the forms and ceremonies
through which the candidate passes
fail to lift him
to higher conceptions of life,
duty and charity,
then
they are mere sounding brass and tinkling cymbal."
-- Anonymous 1974
-------------- THE CHALLENGE --------------
It's
the challenge of every generation
to bring forth Maturity,
at least
enough
to let the next generation know
that it's their turn!
-------------- THE TASK --------------
The
Task of Maturing
is not a Burden one naturally takes upon oneself.
Nature never demands this
from any of Her creations.
It is however a
Burden
that naturally enslaves
should one not take it on.
-------------- QUESTIONS --------------
Asking
truly powerful questions
tends to draw people in
to things that they
might not have considered before.
They also tend to get them to forget
that they lack the confidence to respond.
-------------- WHEN? --------------
At What Moment
Did You Start to Live
The Sublime Principles
You Professed at the Altar?
<sigh> It must be somewhere!!!!
