One's Honor
One
is a Mason
when one Obligates one's self
to Building Better AND honors
AND fulfills that Obligation
upon one's self without waiver.
One
might do this
by joining an organization
that espouses this in their
Philosophy,
but joining is not necessary to take such actions since,
by
their very nature,
such actions are intimately personal.
Of
course,
there are others who have joined such organizations,
who have
repeated many Obligations
and who have not Honored and Fulfilled
these
Obligations to Build themselves Better.
They shall argue with this
above
stated observation
needlessly and endlessly
and expect all they
encounter
to think of them as Masons.
Reflecting back upon your path,
what exactly have YOU
Obligated yourself to do?
Freemasonry
teaches you to fill in the blanks.
Masonry teaches you to see the blanks
that need filling and to dismiss distractions!

Masons can read between the blanks."

-------------- MYTH --------------
"So if you really want to help this world,
what you will have to teach
is how to live in it.
And that
no one can do
who has not themselves
learned how to
live in the joyful sorrow and sorrowful joy
of the knowledge of life as it is."
