-------------- MASONIC EDUCATION --------------
For Further Light:
Mythology
-------------- ALLEGORY--------------
Allegory is a Working Tool
Abused by the Literal,
Misused by the Tyrannical
-------------- CHARACTER --------------
When you don't inspire others
toward their best,
you're likely
not doing your best.
-------------- CHALLENGE --------------
Your Brothers Believe
That you Are in There
and They have Shown you the Way Out.
Why are you Still Hiding?
-------------- ALLEGORY--------------
Allegory is a Working Tool
Abused by the Literal,
Misused by the Tyrannical
-------------- LEARN IT! --------------
-------------- WORTHSHIP --------------
Treating Each Square
As A Place of Workship
Brings More Betterment
Than Treating Them
as a Place of Worthship.
-------------- WORKING TOOLS --------------
I
so often come across individuals
who are vicious enemies to their own
well-being;
and they have no clue that they are the ones
causing
themselves the most harm.
The Mirror in the Chamber
is a crucial
Working Tool
that too few have Mastered.
It is not a coincidence
that it
is provided as a precursor to entry
into a degree in many
jurisdictions.
-------------- JUST DO IT! -------------
One of the greatest disappointments
Brothers shall experience in their Masonic lifetimes
is expecting Freemasonry
to Transform them into Better men
without any Earnest Efforts of their own
to bring this into Fruition.
Uncorrelated Transformations bring about
both wishful and dangerously immature thinking.
Their disappointments are understandable
and deserved though
since such expectations are both unrealistic
and a grievous affront to the very nature of Masonry.
One must never expect to be Better
without changing one's Fundamental Nature.
To Be Better, one must Transform.
That takes Work!
-------------- GOOD MEN BETTER? --------------
A Brother Asks: How does Freemasonry help make good men better?
Coach:
It gives you a road map to follow! Freemasonry's Ritual points to
several tasks for which a man should do completely for this to occur.
Let's take a look at the First Degree Work only, the most commonly
dismissed, overlooked and under-done Work of most Freemasons.
1.
Plumb Setting - This Establishes (and should Maintain) what's most
important and a process that allows for its determination. Without this
singular important act, there is no firm Foundation upon which to
Build. All else becomes Rubbish if not done in full!
2.
24 Inch Gauge - Establishes and Maintains priorities, tasking, resource
utilization and scheduling within a functional Time Management System
of which cannot occur without setting the Plumb.
3. Common Gavel - Divestment of Vices and Superfluities of which cannot occur without setting the Plumb.
4. Moral Integrity Check (Square: part 1) - VoSL review of which cannot occur without setting the Plumb.
5. Emotions Management - Circumscription and Subduing of Passions and Desires of which cannot occur without setting the Plumb.
6.
Due Bounds (Square: part 2) - Establishes and Maintains Standards
(those limits to which we hold ourselves to account) of which cannot
occur without setting the Plumb.
7.
Due Bounds (Square: part 3) - Establishes and Maintains Boundaries
(those limits to which we hold others to account) of which cannot occur
without setting the Plumb.
8.
Masonic Cement (Square: part 4) - Cultivation of the base Cardinal and
Theological Virtues of which cannot occur without setting the Plumb.
The
kicker here is that all this Work should be done BEFORE one gets into
the 7 Liberal Arts and Sciences! (and WAY before one gets into
metaphysical studies!)
"All men are capable of reason.
That is the fundamental principle of democracy.
Because everybody’s mind
is capable of true knowledge,
you don’t have to have a special authority,
or a special revelation telling you
that this is the way things should be."

-------------- BROKEN --------------
When
you truly want
to help a disillusioned Brother,
start by letting him
know
that he is not the only one disenfranchised
by empowered Ruffians.
-------------- APOLOGY --------------
A Sincere Apology:
If you are...
1) disturbed into deep thought,
2) provoked into taking positive action, and
3) tormented into positive reflection,
by anything that I've posted or responded to on FB,
then we all expect an apology from you
for you're not doing all this on your own.
