The Major Trouble with Modern Freemasonic Lectures is that far too many experience them, believe they present a complete education and condemn those they guide to a wall filled with chained followers.
A Major Problem with Modern Freemasonic Lectures is that too many Brothers who listen to them don't understand that these Lectures were Fabricated years ago and were never Intended to be the be-all and end-all of one's Education. The Lectures are merely a Narrowly Confined and Highly Structured handful of Allusions pointing toward Further Light. The Lectures were not the Light itself. They were Provided as Kindling to those who paid to go through three specific Initiations. And just as Kindling, the Lectures are Absolutely Useless without more Significant Materials being added.
The Major Challenge presented to Freemasons by Modern Freemasonic Lectures is seeing beyond the superficial offering and into the core intention of such offerings. To the cave dwellers chained upon the walls of ignorance, an opportunity to see beyond the shadows. To the aspirant, they are bread crumb trails for further exploration to travel within the network of masters’ words, written into the libraries of history. To the well-schooled, they present mental hyperlinks to many classics studied, abundant discourses upon which these classics catalyzed and reassurance of one’s efforts to lay strong foundations of learning.

The zanphone is a rare medieval string instrument that sounds from the rub of a resinated wheel that spins by action of a crank and whose sound is modulated through a keyboard that gives a chromatic scale of two-octaves extension. It has three main strings that carry the melody, and two or more companions that give a simultaneous sound; one severe and fixed at octave interval, and one acute at the interval of fifth.
According to studies by some musicologists, the zanphone is of European origin, placing its first appearances in the late 10th or early 11th century, where it was known as Organistrum.
At first it was used to accompany monastic chants but in the 13th centuries to 17th century it was replaced by the organ, thus giving the opportunity for this instrument to pass into popular recreation.
