Why Even Bother Giving Directions?
It took me a little over a decade
of earnest, diligent and rigorous effort
to do my Apprentice Work,
and that was BEFORE I joined Freemasonry.
It was only after I joined
that I found out that Freemasonry
does no true quality control
on whether a member actually does the Apprentice Work
or not.
Of course,
I'd have done the Apprentice Work anyway,
I knew I needed to (as many adults come to find out!)
and I am proud that I did.
But still,
the actual reality was disappointing to realize.
I'm finding out that
I am not alone in this feeling.
Ask anyone who
is a Freemasonic Alumni.
