-------------- MASONIC EDUCATION --------------
Freemasonry
is
a door to life enhancement
that only Masonry can open.
Find the
differences
between the two
and you shall find keys
that open you up
to an
entirely different Craft experience..
For Further Light:
FIND THEM...
FIND THEM...
-------------- ROADMAP --------------
Freemasonry is not a road(path).
It is a Roadmap (pathmap)!
The Road, once
pointed out by this Map,
must be taken for that Map to have any Value
whatsoever!
Focus upon the Roadmap alone and you will never Travel.
Follow the Roadmap, and your Travels will be endless!

-------------- OPPOSING VIEWS --------------
Masonry
has taught me that I have my own understandings and you have yours. I may not grasp nor appreciate your
understandings and you may not grasp nor appreciate mine. Your understandings may not be real for me and mine may not be real for you.
understandings and you may not grasp nor appreciate mine. Your understandings may not be real for me and mine may not be real for you.
To
reconcile this imagined discrepancy is to accept that there will always
be such differences. I need not accept your understandings and you need not
accept mine.
This
non-acceptance doesn't matter though. What matters is how I treat you
and how you treat me in our efforts to communicate our understandings to those
who are open to hearing them.
Do
we respectfully speak and respectfully listen? Do we contemptuously
condemn? What impact will we and do we have upon those who hear us?
Would
you be attracted to someone who disrespects, condemns and dishonors
your Work and your Beliefs? Would you be attracted to someone who values
your Work and Beliefs regardless of their own Beliefs and Works?
How
would you want to be treated by someone who differs in their Beliefs
and their Works?
What does Masonry ask of us in this respect?
What is a Brother really?
-------------- MYTH --------------
not only that the Everlasting lives in them,
but that what
they,
and all things,
really are
IS the Everlasting,
dwell in the groves
of the wish-fulfilling trees,
drink the brew of immortality,
and listen
everywhere to the unheard music of eternal concord.
These are the
immortals."
--Joseph Campbell,
The Hero with a Thousand Faces, p. 142
-------------- THINK DEEPER! --------------
-------------- PERPETUATING... --------------
When
you use the words
"history" and "lore" interchangeably
when discussing
the Craft,
you perpetuate a myth
that has kept members in the dark
for
nearly 300 years.
Yep, and
"...the Kingdom of God is spread upon the earth
and men do not see it."
-- The Gospel of Thomas

-------------- CUT OFF --------------
Exchanging
More Modern Acceptable Words Within Ritual
for the Archaic Words
to
Ease Your Brothers' Struggles
to Accept & Understand It
Cuts Off
Their Traveling Legs
& Limits Their Paths.
Masonic
Spring
A movement intended to bring Masonry back into Freemasonry
through increased and improved awareness
of Masonic Connections,
Principles and Practice
within members of the Craft
who want the
Betterment of men
to be the Central Focus of their Craft Activities.
It
remains wholly unorganized
with no leaders whatsoever,
as it should,
other than those interested in leading themselves
toward Betterment, as
they should.
If you're interested, simply DO THE WORK!
For Further Light:
If
masonry has taught me
anything of value
it would be this:
Never assume
the reasons behind
men staying affiliated
with one body or another
are
what I imagine.
There always runs
a deep vein of investment
behind any
man's actions
that may never be seen
by any superficial surveillance
by
myself or others.
The best any one of us can ever do
is try to
understand without passing judgment
on that which resides under the
surface
and hidden from our view.
-------------- WHY? --------------
Freemasonry without Masonry
is a tasteless decaffeinated drink.
Sure you can take it in;
but why bother?
(Thanks for the grist Bro. Tom Rivera!)
Brother: Say, aren't those terms synonymous?
Coach: They are synonymous only to Freemasons.
However, to Masons they are two entirely different things.
