-------------- THE GRAND CONSPIRACY --------------

-------------- COACH'S CHALLENGE --------------

A forward thinking Brother wants to have a differently focused Freemasonic Lodge. He likes the Traditional Observance (TO) concept, but feels that it is not the direction or the focus he wants to take his lodge. His desire is to have a Lodge focused upon having its members actually doing the Work that the USA Preston-Webb based Rituals directs its members to do to make Good Men Better. In this respect, he want to focus Apprentices on Maturing their hearts, assuring the foundational Work is established prior to their progressing to the next degree. He wants to assure that the basics of the 7 liberal arts and sciences are well-established within Fellow Crafts before being Raised to Masters, thus assuring they have every opportunity to mature their heads. He also wants to have all newly Raised and seasoned Masters of the Lodge commit to and participate within a monitorial system of teaching that assists the younger members toward achieving Legitimate Mastery.

Your task it come up with a unique name or term that both does honor to this type of Lodge that distinguishes it from the typical Lodges now offered, but also clearly denotes the different kind of activities this type of Lodge offers to its members.

1) What name or term would you suggest and why have you chosen this term or name?
2) How do you think such a Lodge will be received by Lodges who practice progression that is nothing like it?
3) Do you believe such a Lodge should be a special type of Lodge that focuses upon education rather than focusing upon putting on degrees and why?

-------------- MYTH --------------

write it well... and like your life depended upon it...

"Schopenhauer wrote a wonderful paper on 'An Apparent Intention in the Fate of the Individual' . . . He says that when you go through life, this character appears, that character appears, and it all seems accidental at the time it is happening. Then when you get on in your sixties or seventies and look back, your life looks like a well-planned novel with a coherent theme. Things have happened, you realize, in an appropriate way. Incidents that seemed to be accidental, pure chance, turn out to be major elements in the structuring of this novel. Schopenhauer says, 'Who wrote the novel? You did.' "
